On a scale of "Zero" to "The VMI Parents Page," how much do you hate something?
Because I am no fan of the VMI parents page. The Corps joins and follows the page for the same reason we'd watch a train wreck.
We all just find it... Awkward. Painfully awkward... And it's a self-perpetuating cycle. The moms all support and prop up their hysteria and awkwardness (and they are prone to hysteria over slightest of rumors, fear that their dear babies might have their feelings hurt or be forced to endure the horror of a bruise.. They are aware that VMI is a military school, right?).
When they ask for validation, the moms swarm in to support themselves. Any Cadet that is brave enough to challenge them is shot down, or are too worried that a mom will become offended and demand the Commandant staff take retribution against the cadet. Yet strangely, we can't tear ourselves away from checking the page.
