Keydets have a certain amount of "Demerit Periods" where they can accumulate up to 20 demerits (demo's) without any negative consequences. However, every demerit above 20 is a penalty tour that must be served. If a Keydet finds they have some wiggle room near the end of the period, they may take some liberties (such as an "unauthorized hay down" wherein we keep our cots down in the morning all in the name of a glorious, glorious nap).
